Leasing of industrial and warehousing spaces in India reached a record 59.1 million sq ft between January and September, marking a 7% increase from the previous year. This growth was driven by strong demand from light manufacturing, third-party logistics, and e-commerce companies. Major cities accounted for 47.2 million sq ft of this leasing, while Tier-II and III cities saw a rise to 11.9 million sq ft. The sector is projected for steady growth through 2026, fueled by ongoing consumption increases and supply chain adjustments.

जनवरी से सितंबर के बीच भारत में इंडस्ट्रियल और वेयरहाउसिंग स्पेस की लीजिंग रिकॉर्ड 59.1 मिलियन वर्ग फुट तक पहुंच गई, जो पिछले साल की तुलना में 7% ज़्यादा है। यह बढ़ोतरी लाइट मैन्युफैक्चरिंग, थर्ड-पार्टी लॉजिस्टिक्स और ई-कॉमर्स कंपनियों की मज़बूत मांग से हुई। प्रमुख शहरों में 47.2 मिलियन वर्ग फुट लीजिंग हुई, जबकि टियर-II और III शहरों में यह बढ़कर 11.9 मिलियन वर्ग फुट हो गई। लगातार बढ़ती खपत और सप्लाई चेन में हो रहे बदलावों के कारण इस सेक्टर में 2026 तक लगातार बढ़ोतरी की उम्मीद है।
