Fake MBBS Doctor Arrested in Balaghat After Practicing for 17 Years

A shocking case has emerged from Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, where a former Block Medical Officer, Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh, was found to have been working with a fake MBBS degree for 17 years. Following a five-month intensive investigation, his degree and medical council registration were confirmed as fraudulent. An FIR has been registered against him under serious sections. Dr. Singh was initially hired on contract in 2009, regularized in 2012, and promoted to BMO in 2023. This incident raises serious questions about the document verification process in the health department.
