Almora Mechanic's Son Builds Flying Car After Learning Online
The Better India · lifestyle
Ravi Tamta, son of a mechanic from Almora, Uttarakhand, has developed an electric flying vehicle prototype called HAPIDA SKYNeX. Inspired by the challenges of reaching hospitals in hilly regions, Tamta spent 13 years learning from the internet and experimenting to create a vehicle that can take off and land vertically. The prototype successfully completed its maiden test flight in August, remaining airborne for nearly a minute from an army helipad. This innovation aims to make air travel more accessible in remote mountainous areas, especially for medical emergencies.
