तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने बीजेपी सरकार के चोरबागान सर्वजनिन को 'बेस्ट ऑफ द बेस्ट दुर्गा पूजा' अवॉर्ड देने के फैसले पर सवाल उठाया है, जबकि वहां भगदड़ में 19 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी। पार्टी ने बताया कि उसी पूजा को बेस्ट लाइटिंग, बेस्ट पंडाल और पर्यावरण-अनुकूल होने के लिए भी अवॉर्ड मिले थे। उन्होंने पूछा कि क्या सरकार ऐसे सम्मान देते समय सुरक्षा और जवाबदेही पर चकाचौंध को प्राथमिकता देती है। भगदड़ 17 अक्टूबर 2026 को सप्तमी के दौरान हुई थी, जिसमें 19 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी और 25 घायल हुए थे।
