A five-year-old boy, Ishu Kumar, died after being bitten by a snake while attending an Anganwadi centre in Patna district's Pothama Par village. His family alleges negligence by the Anganwadi assistant, claiming she told the child to walk home alone instead of taking him to the hospital. The child reportedly reached home and informed his mother about the snakebite. Despite attempts at traditional healing and medical treatment across multiple facilities, doctors confirmed his death. पटना जिले के पोथमा पर गांव में एक आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र में पढ़ते समय सांप द्वारा डसे जाने के बाद पांच साल के बच्चे इशु कुमार की मौत हो गई। उसके परिवार का आरोप है कि आंगनवाड़ी सहायिका की लापरवाही थी, उनका दावा है कि उन्होंने बच्चे को अस्पताल ले जाने के बजाय घर अकेले जाने के लिए कहा था। बच्चे ने कथित तौर पर घर पहुंचकर अपनी मां को सांप के काटने के बारे में बताया। पारंपरिक उपचार और कई सुविधाओं में चिकित्सा उपचार के प्रयासों के बावजूद, डॉक्टरों ने उसकी मौत की पुष्टि की। परिवार केंद्र की प्रक्रियाओं और तत्काल चिकित्सा ध्यान की कमी पर सवाल उठा रहा है।
