Putin Unveils Russia’s ‘Digital Twin’ To Help Caspian Nations Tackle Falling Water Levels
Hindustan Times · world
Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for joint action among Caspian Sea nations to address the critical issue of falling water levels. He warned that the declining waters pose a significant threat to the region's ecosystem, fishing industry, shipping routes, and coastal communities. Putin cited Russian estimates indicating that approximately 20,000 square kilometers have been exposed by retreating waters in Russia's sector over the past two decades. To combat this, he proposed an AI-powered “digital twin” system to model future water levels and enhance navigation safety.
