राहुल और प्रियंका गांधी समेत कई विपक्षी नेताओं को पुलिस ने जबरन चुनाव आयोग (EC) के दफ्तर के बाहर से हटा दिया, जब उनकी EC अधिकारियों से मिलने की मांग ठुकरा दी गई। ये नेता सुबह से ही विरोध प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे और अपनी चिंताएं बताना चाहते थे। EC ने कहा कि शाम 4 बजे तक किसी भी राजनीतिक दल ने किसी अधिकृत प्रतिनिधि के ज़रिए मीटिंग का औपचारिक अनुरोध नहीं किया था। उन्होंने 2025 की प्रक्रिया का हवाला दिया, जिसमें पहले से अपॉइंटमेंट का अनुरोध करना होता है, जिसका पालन विपक्ष द्वारा लगभग 240 सांसदों के साथ पार्लियामेंट एनएक्स में प्रस्तावित मीटिंग में नहीं किया गया।
