Father Arrested for Allegedly Throwing Son Into Well After Marital Dispute

A 40-year-old man, Selvaraj, has been arrested in Villupuram district for allegedly throwing his six-year-old son into an agricultural well. The incident occurred following frequent quarrels between Selvaraj and his wife, Devi, over money for alcohol. On Friday morning, after his wife left for work, Selvaraj took their son to a field and pushed him into the well. Villagers apprehended the accused and alerted the police. The child's body was recovered and sent for post-mortem.
