TMC Questions Delhi Police Deployment, Asks Why Not Sent to Manipur

The Hindu · india

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh has questioned the extensive police deployment in Delhi to manage anti-SIR protests. He contrasted this with the security situation in Manipur, suggesting that similar forces should have been deployed there to address the ongoing ethnic violence. Ghosh argued that such a large security presence against young protesters indicates the government's inability to address their concerns. He stated that the youth should be convinced rather than suppressed when they raise questions.
