Finance Ministry Appoints Subhas Chandra Lal Das As Part-Time FSIB Chairperson

The finance ministry has appointed former IAS officer Subhas Chandra Lal Das as the part-time chairperson of the Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) for a three-year term. Six part-time members, including former SBI MD Arijit Basu and ex-RBI director Satish Kashinath Marathe, have also been appointed. The FSIB, established in July 2022, replaced the Banks Board Bureau and is responsible for recommending candidates for top positions in public sector banks and insurers. The bureau also advises the government on personnel matters and strategic issues.

वित्त मंत्रालय ने पूर्व IAS अधिकारी सुभाष चंद्र लाल दास को वित्तीय सेवा संस्थान ब्यूरो (FSIB) का अंशकालिक अध्यक्ष तीन साल के लिए नियुक्त किया है। पूर्व SBI MD अरिजीत बसु और पूर्व RBI निदेशक सतीश काशीनाथ मराठे सहित छह अंशकालिक सदस्यों की भी नियुक्ति की गई है। FSIB, जिसकी स्थापना जुलाई 2022 में हुई थी, ने Banks Board Bureau की जगह ली है और यह सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों और बीमा कंपनियों में शीर्ष पदों के लिए उम्मीदवारों की सिफारिश करने के लिए जिम्मेदार है। यह ब्यूरो सरकार को कार्मिक मामलों और रणनीतिक मुद्दों पर सलाह भी देता है।
