Kharge Uses 'Sholay' Dialogue To Criticise Govt Over Delhi Curbs

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge invoked the iconic "Jo darr gaya" dialogue from the film 'Sholay' to criticise the government amid protests demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Kharge referred to the extensive restrictions imposed by Delhi Police ahead of a planned protest by the Cockroach Janta Party and other student organisations. He claimed that two Election Commissioners had raised objections to Kumar's actions, but the government had not removed him.

कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग को लेकर विरोध प्रदर्शन के बीच सरकार की आलोचना करने के लिए 'शोले' फिल्म के प्रतिष्ठित 'जो डर गया' डायलॉग का सहारा लिया। खड़गे ने कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी और अन्य छात्र संगठनों द्वारा नियोजित विरोध प्रदर्शन से पहले दिल्ली पुलिस द्वारा लगाए गए व्यापक प्रतिबंधों का उल्लेख किया। उन्होंने दावा किया कि दो चुनाव आयुक्तों ने कुमार की कार्रवाइयों पर आपत्ति जताई थी, लेकिन सरकार ने उन्हें नहीं हटाया था।
