Govt School Enrollment Surges Amidst Community Support

Times of India · education

SM Bhoomaraddi Govt Higher Primary School in Mundargi has seen a significant rise in student enrollment, admitting 140 new students this academic year to reach a total of 460. The school had to turn away an additional 60 applicants due to space constraints. This success comes despite a general trend of declining enrollment in many government schools. The school has benefited from substantial community support, including donations worth Rs 35 lakh over three years and contributions from teachers, enhancing its facilities and expanding its offerings up to Class 9.
