The Bombay high court has permitted the provisional release of 200kg of Ketamine Hydrochloride, valued at Rs 72 lakh, seized by Customs from pharmaceutical firm Supriya Lifescience Ltd. The court found the delay in obtaining a fresh export authorization to be technical given the case's specific circumstances. The consignment was intended for a South Korean company, but a query about the shipment batch led to a delay. The court directed the company to deposit Rs 72 lakh with Customs within a week for the release.

बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट ने फार्मास्युटिकल फर्म Supriya Lifescience Ltd. से कस्टम द्वारा जब्त की गई 72 लाख रुपये की 200 किलोग्राम केटामाइन हाइड्रोक्लोराइड की अस्थायी रिहाई की अनुमति दे दी है। कोर्ट ने पाया कि मामले की विशेष परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए नया निर्यात प्राधिकरण प्राप्त करने में देरी तकनीकी थी। यह खेप एक दक्षिण कोरियाई कंपनी के लिए थी, लेकिन शिपमेंट बैच के बारे में एक सवाल के कारण देरी हुई। कोर्ट ने रिहाई के लिए कंपनी को एक सप्ताह के भीतर कस्टम के पास 72 लाख रुपये जमा करने का निर्देश दिया।
