India's electric vehicle market achieved a record high in October, with registrations surpassing 3.5 lakh units for the first time. Electric two-wheelers were the primary drivers of this growth, experiencing a nearly 50% year-on-year increase. Electric passenger vehicles also saw a significant 75% year-on-year jump, though they experienced a slight dip from September. This milestone marks the fifth consecutive month where EV registrations have exceeded the 3 lakh mark, indicating sustained momentum in the sector.

अक्टूबर में भारत के इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन बाज़ार ने रिकॉर्ड स्तर छुआ, रजिस्ट्रेशन पहली बार 3.5 लाख यूनिट से ज़्यादा हो गए। इलेक्ट्रिक दोपहिया वाहनों ने इस ग्रोथ को सबसे ज़्यादा बढ़ाया, जिनमें साल-दर-साल लगभग 50% की बढ़ोतरी हुई। इलेक्ट्रिक पैसेंजर वाहनों में भी साल-दर-साल 75% की बड़ी उछाल देखी गई, हालांकि सितंबर की तुलना में इनमें थोड़ी गिरावट आई। यह एक ऐसा मील का पत्थर है जहाँ लगातार पाँचवें महीने EV रजिस्ट्रेशन 3 लाख के पार गए हैं, जो इस सेक्टर में लगातार तेज़ी का संकेत देता है।
