Congress leader Rahul Gandhi commented on the all-vegetarian Brics Summit gala dinner, stating that 80% of Indians are non-vegetarian and highlighting the deliciousness of Indian non-vegetarian food. Union minister Kiren Rijiju accused the Congress of politicising the food served to visiting leaders. The Brics Summit featured an elaborate vegetarian spread with diverse regional Indian dishes, including starters, main courses, and desserts, alongside a cultural performance.

राहुल गांधी ने ब्रिक्स समिट के शाकाहारी डिनर पर टिप्पणी की। उन्होंने कहा कि 80% भारतीय मांसाहारी हैं और भारतीय मांसाहारी खाने का स्वाद लाजवाब होता है। केंद्रीय मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू ने कांग्रेस पर नेताओं के खाने को राजनीतिक मुद्दा बनाने का आरोप लगाया। ब्रिक्स समिट में विभिन्न भारतीय क्षेत्रीय व्यंजनों का एक विस्तृत शाकाहारी मेनू था, जिसमें स्टार्टर, मुख्य व्यंजन और मिठाइयाँ शामिल थीं।
