The father of slain anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota has requested Rahul Gandhi and the family of former Punjab CM Beant Singh to avoid the ongoing protest in Mansa. Bhim Singh cited his Sikh faith and the community's anger over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots as reasons for his plea. He stated that while he welcomes other Congress leaders, he wishes to avoid any association that could lead to his excommunication from Sikhism. The protest continues, with demonstrators demanding the withdrawal of cases and the release of arrested individuals.
