Ex-BJP MLA Atar Singh Bhadana Killed By Rajasthan Villagers Over Mining Dispute

Former BJP MLA Atar Singh Bhadana was killed by villagers in Rajasthan's Bharatpur on Sunday evening following a dispute over a mining lease and a crusher plant. Bhadana, who represented the Bayana constituency from 2003 to 2008, was attacked with lathis by hundreds of villagers at his mining lease site. He was rushed to a hospital in Jaipur, where he was declared dead. Villagers had been protesting the mining operations for two years, alleging the use of pasture land for mining vehicles and blocking the crusher plant.

रविवार शाम को राजस्थान के भरतपुर में खनन पट्टे और क्रशर प्लांट को लेकर हुए विवाद के बाद ग्रामीणों ने पूर्व बीजेपी विधायक अतर सिंह भड़ाना की हत्या कर दी। भड़ाना, जिन्होंने 2003 से 2008 तक बयाना निर्वाचन क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व किया था, पर उनके खनन पट्टे स्थल पर सैकड़ों ग्रामीणों ने लाठियों से हमला किया। उन्हें जयपुर के एक अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहाँ उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया गया। ग्रामीण दो साल से खनन संचालन का विरोध कर रहे थे, जिसमें खनन वाहनों के लिए चारागाह भूमि के उपयोग और क्रशर प्लांट को अवरुद्ध करने का आरोप लगाया गया था।
