Supreme Court Declares Internet Access a Fundamental Right For All
Times of India · top
The Supreme Court has declared internet access a fundamental right for all individuals, including children, under Articles 21 and 19(1)(a) of the Constitution. The bench suggested implementing a 'child mode' for social media accounts to enhance online safety, rather than restricting children's access entirely. The court emphasized that children's safety and freedom are not mutually exclusive and that blanket restrictions are not the solution.
