Sanjiv Prakash Sharma, former acting chief justice of the Rajasthan high court, has refuted allegations of corruption made against him by Supreme Court judge Justice Sandeep Mehta. Sharma described the accusations as "completely fabricated" and stemming from "personal jealousy," suggesting Mehta was motivated by professional rivalry. He stated that Mehta's claims lacked truth and were part of a conspiracy. Sharma has written to the Chief Justice of India requesting an opportunity to cross-examine Justice Mehta regarding the integrity allegations.

राजस्थान हाई कोर्ट के पूर्व एक्टिंग चीफ जस्टिस संजीव प्रकाश शर्मा ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जज जस्टिस संदीप मेहता द्वारा उन पर लगाए गए भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों को सिरे से खारिज कर दिया है। शर्मा ने इन आरोपों को 'पूरी तरह से मनगढ़ंत' और 'निजी ईर्ष्या' से प्रेरित बताया, और कहा कि मेहता पेशेवर प्रतिद्वंद्विता से प्रेरित थे। उन्होंने कहा कि मेहता के दावों में कोई सच्चाई नहीं है और यह एक साजिश का हिस्सा है। शर्मा ने भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश को पत्र लिखकर जस्टिस मेहता से उनकी सत्यनिष्ठा के आरोपों के संबंध में जिरह करने का अवसर मांगा है।
