FSSAI Prosecutes Priyagold Biscuits Maker For Using Cattle Feed Bran

India's food regulator, FSSAI, has initiated legal proceedings for prosecution against Surya Food & Agro, the manufacturer of Priyagold biscuits. The action stems from the company's use of cattle feed bran, clearly marked for animal consumption, as a raw material in biscuit production. FSSAI also found serious hygiene deficiencies during an inspection following a consumer complaint. Legal action has also been launched against Dodla Dairy for substandard milk and UEIR Organic Foods for pesticide residues in raisins.

भारत के खाद्य नियामक, FSSAI ने Priyagold बिस्किट बनाने वाली Surya Food & Agro कंपनी के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है। यह कार्रवाई कंपनी द्वारा बिस्किट बनाने में पशुओं के चारे के रूप में इस्तेमाल होने वाले ब्रैन का उपयोग करने के कारण हुई है, जिस पर स्पष्ट रूप से 'जानवरों के लिए' लिखा था। एक उपभोक्ता की शिकायत के बाद की गई जांच में FSSAI को गंभीर स्वच्छता की कमियां भी मिलीं। Dodla Dairy के घटिया दूध और UEIR Organic Foods के किशमिश में कीटनाशक अवशेषों के लिए भी कानूनी कार्रवाई शुरू की गई है।
