The Chhattisgarh High Court has rejected a husband's plea for divorce, stating that mere allegations of cruelty or desertion are insufficient without concrete evidence. A Division Bench upheld the Family Court's decision, finding the husband failed to prove the necessary grounds for divorce. The husband had alleged his wife deserted him and threatened false cases after a brief period of marriage. The wife, however, accused the husband of an affair and neglecting her medical needs during pregnancy. The court emphasized the need for substantial proof beyond unsubstantiated claims.

छत्तीसगढ़ हाई कोर्ट ने पति की तलाक की अर्जी खारिज कर दी है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि क्रूरता या परित्याग के सिर्फ आरोप सबूत के बिना काफी नहीं हैं। फैमिली कोर्ट के फैसले को बरकरार रखते हुए, डिविजन बेंच ने पाया कि पति तलाक के लिए ज़रूरी आधार साबित नहीं कर सका। पति ने शादी के थोड़े समय बाद पत्नी के उसे छोड़ने और झूठे केस करने की धमकी देने का आरोप लगाया था। पत्नी ने पति पर अफेयर और गर्भावस्था के दौरान उसकी मेडिकल ज़रूरतों को नज़रअंदाज़ करने का आरोप लगाया।
