Keralam Completes Digital Mapping Of Water Sources

Kunnamangalam block panchayat in Keralam's Kozhikode district has completed the digital mapping of its rivulets and other water sources. This initiative is reportedly the first organised attempt by a local body in the district. It provides a scientific record of water resources and their current condition. The project also integrates local knowledge into the water conservation process, aiming for better resource management.

केरल के कोझिकोड जिले के कुन्नमंगलम ब्लॉक पंचायत ने अपनी छोटी नदियों और अन्य जल स्रोतों की डिजिटल मैपिंग पूरी कर ली है। यह जिले में किसी स्थानीय निकाय द्वारा पहला संगठित प्रयास बताया जा रहा है। इससे जल स्रोतों और उनकी वर्तमान स्थिति का वैज्ञानिक रिकॉर्ड मिलेगा। इस प्रोजेक्ट में जल संरक्षण प्रक्रिया में स्थानीय ज्ञान को भी शामिल किया गया है, ताकि संसाधनों का बेहतर प्रबंधन हो सके।
