Vijay Sankar Named FICCI President-Elect for 2026-27 Term

Vijay Sankar, chairman of the Chennai-based Sanmar Group, has been appointed as the President-elect of FICCI for the 2026-27 term. He is currently serving as the senior vice-president of the industry body. Sankar will assume the presidency following the annual general meeting scheduled for November 18-19 in New Delhi, succeeding Anant Goenka. His extensive business background includes leadership roles in chemicals, engineering, and shipping, along with directorships at major companies.

चेन्नई स्थित सानमार ग्रुप के चेयरमैन विजय शंकर को FICCI के 2026-27 सत्र के लिए अध्यक्ष-निर्वाचित नियुक्त किया गया है। वह वर्तमान में इस उद्योग निकाय के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष के तौर पर कार्यरत हैं। शंकर 18-19 नवंबर को नई दिल्ली में होने वाली वार्षिक आम बैठक के बाद अनंत गोयनका की जगह अध्यक्ष पद संभालेंगे। उनके व्यापक व्यावसायिक अनुभव में रसायन, इंजीनियरिंग और शिपिंग में नेतृत्व की भूमिकाएँ शामिल हैं, साथ ही वे प्रमुख कंपनियों में निदेशक भी रहे हैं।
