Panchayat Launches Fencing Project To Curb Wildlife Attacks On Farms

Vettikavala grama panchayat in Kollam has initiated a chain-link fencing project to address human-wildlife conflict and protect farmlands. Farmers cultivating crops like plantain, coconut, and vegetables are eligible for financial assistance to construct fences. The panchayat will offer a subsidy of ₹400 per meter, capped at ₹50,000 per farmer. For this fiscal year, ₹10 lakh has been allocated to build 2,500 meters of fencing. This initiative aims to secure agricultural lands and allow farmers to continue their work without disruption.

वन्यजीव हमलों से खेतों को बचाने के लिए पंचायत ने शुरू की फेंसिंग परियोजना

कोल्लम के वेट्टीकावला ग्राम पंचायत ने मानव-वन्यजीव संघर्ष को संबोधित करने और खेतों की रक्षा के लिए एक चेन-लिंक फेंसिंग परियोजना शुरू की है। केला, नारियल और सब्जियों जैसी फसलें उगाने वाले किसानों को बाड़ बनाने के लिए वित्तीय सहायता के लिए पात्र होंगे। पंचायत ₹400 प्रति मीटर की सब्सिडी देगी, जो प्रति किसान ₹50,000 तक सीमित होगी। इस वित्तीय वर्ष के लिए, 2,500 मीटर बाड़ बनाने के लिए ₹10 लाख आवंटित किए गए हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य कृषि भूमि को सुरक्षित करना और किसानों को बिना किसी बाधा के अपना काम जारी रखने की अनुमति देना है।
