Times of India · politics

Former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of failing to provide evidence for his allegations regarding electronic voting machines and electoral roll revisions. Shettar stated that EVMs have been in use since 1982 and were introduced by the Congress party, which also won several elections using them. He criticised Gandhi's claims against the chief election commissioner and suggested that criticism of EVMs intensified after the NDA's victories starting in 2014. Shettar called Gandhi an immature leader whose approach could harm his political future.
