PERM Certifications Plummet for 13 IT Firms in 9 Months

Thirteen major Indian IT services companies saw a significant drop in certified PERM applications, with only 607 recorded in the first nine months of FY26. This is a sharp decline from 1,670 in FY25 and 1,756 in FY24, according to Kotak Institutional Equities. The decrease coincides with the US administration suspending new and pending PERM applications for major firms like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. TCS, for instance, had only two certifications in the period, down from 505 in FY25.
