East Bengal FC has expressed gratitude to the West Bengal government for waiving rental charges for the Salt Lake Stadium, also known as Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK). This decision allows the Kolkata club to host its Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 home matches at the venue without incurring stadium rental fees. The club specifically thanked Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Sports Minister Indranil Khan for their support towards football in the state. The waiver ensures the club can manage its finances better for the upcoming ISL season.
