NDTV Sports · sports

Cricketer R Ashwin has responded sharply to a fan who questioned Sanju Samson's selection in the T20I squad against New Zealand. The fan pointed out Samson's low score of 107 runs in five matches, while another player, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, was benched for three of those games. Ashwin's reply, though not detailed here, suggests a strong defence of the team management's decisions or Samson's potential. This exchange highlights the intense scrutiny cricketers face from fans regarding team composition and player performance, especially during series where results are closely watched.
