Delhi experienced severe traffic congestion on Dhanteras, with long queues of vehicles reported across the city. Journeys of just 5 kilometers took up to half an hour, and commuters were advised to allow an extra one to one-and-a-half hours for travel. Areas like Nizamuddin, Connaught Place, and Khan Market were heavily affected. Traffic police were deployed to manage the situation amidst the festive rush, which significantly increased the number of vehicles on the roads.
