Indian captain Shreyas Iyer has advised young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to remain patient and focus on his game, despite not playing in any of the five T20Is against the West Indies. Iyer stated that the team had consistent openers in Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma, making it difficult for Sooryavanshi to get a chance. Sooryavanshi's last appearance was in the Asian Games final. Iyer also reflected on India's performance, noting bowling inconsistencies and praising the batting, while acknowledging the West Indies' strong play.
