Palma-Gumla Four-Lane Highway Stretch Opens To Traffic

The 63.17-km Palma-Gumla stretch of NH-43, a vital link for the proposed Raipur-Dhanbad Economic Corridor under Bharatmala Pariyojana, has been opened to traffic. Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1,908.43 crore, this four-lane highway is expected to significantly reduce travel time and improve the movement of goods between Jharkhand and neighboring states. Officials anticipate the project will boost economic, social, and commercial activities, enhance connectivity across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal, and support industry, trade, and tourism.

भरतमाला परियोजना के तहत प्रस्तावित रायपुर-धनबाद इकोनॉमिक कॉरिडोर के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण कड़ी, एनएच-43 के 63.17 किमी लंबे पालमा-गुमला स्ट्रेच को यातायात के लिए खोल दिया गया है। अनुमानित 1,908.43 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से निर्मित इस फोर-लेन हाईवे से झारखंड और पड़ोसी राज्यों के बीच यात्रा के समय में काफी कमी आने और माल की आवाजाही में सुधार होने की उम्मीद है। अधिकारियों को उम्मीद है कि यह परियोजना झारखंड, छत्तीसगढ़ और पश्चिम बंगाल में आर्थिक, सामाजिक और वाणिज्यिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा देगी, कनेक्टिविटी बढ़ाएगी और उद्योग, व्यापार और पर्यटन का समर्थन करेगी।
