Filmmaker Priyadarshan has revealed he declined to direct the sequel to his 2006 comedy, Bhagam Bhaag. He stated he avoids sequels unless he has a significantly better story than the original, emphasizing that sequels should enhance a franchise, not just sell its past success. Priyadarshan also commented on the troubled production of Hera Pheri 3, expressing doubt that the third installment will ever be completed. He prefers not to be involved in projects that he feels might tarnish the original film's appreciation.
