FIFA President Gianni Infantino has initiated a review of proposals to distribute more funds to national associations. This comes after UEFA and CONCACAF requested a $2.1 billion payout from FIFA's reserves. The assessment will be presented to the FIFA Council on October 15, with any additional funding requiring financial checks and formal approval. UEFA and CONCACAF proposed each member association receive at least $10 million during the 2027-30 cycle, questioning the need for a withdrawn commercial plan given FIFA's projected $6 billion reserves.
