Bullet Train Tunnel Boring Machine Starts Undersea Excavation

A second Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) has begun excavating India's first undersea tunnel for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project. This TBM will dig the 2.5 km long tunnel under the Thane Creek. The first TBM started its work in January. This significant milestone brings the ambitious bullet train project closer to completion, promising faster and more efficient travel between India's financial capital and Gujarat.

मुंबई-अहमदाबाद हाई-स्पीड रेल प्रोजेक्ट के लिए भारत की पहली समुद्री सुरंग की खुदाई में दूसरी टनल बोरिंग मशीन (TBM) ने काम शुरू कर दिया है। यह TBM थाणे क्रीक के नीचे 2.5 किलोमीटर लंबी सुरंग खोदेगी। पहली TBM ने जनवरी में काम शुरू किया था। इस बड़ी उपलब्धि से बुलेट ट्रेन प्रोजेक्ट पूरा होने के करीब आ गया है, जिससे भारत की आर्थिक राजधानी और गुजरात के बीच यात्रा तेज और बेहतर होगी।
