India is actively working to rebuild its relations with China, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal stated on Wednesday. He emphasized that the journey is ongoing and the final outcome is yet to be determined. Goyal also affirmed India's openness to joint ventures with all countries, provided fair deals are secured and geopolitical situations remain stable. This comes as China remains India's second-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching $127.7 billion in 2025-26, despite a widening trade deficit and tightened FDI policies for bordering nations.
