Leylah Fernandez Reaches Singapore Open Final

Leylah Fernandez fought back from a slow start to reach her first WTA final of the year at the Singapore Open. The sixth seed dropped the first five games of her semifinal against Poland's Maja Chwalinska but rallied to win 1-6, 6-4, 6-2. Fernandez will now face unseeded Australian Talia Gibson in the final on Sunday. Gibson advanced after her opponent withdrew due to concussion protocol. This marks Fernandez's first WTA final appearance since winning the Japan Open last year.
