Teacher's Blind Date Led to 160-Acre Illinois Farm Becoming Nature Preserve
Times of India - India · india
A blind date in February 1969 led to the marriage of teacher Beth Temple and surgeon Dr. Arvid Temple, who owned a 160-acre dairy farm in Illinois. Over their shared life, the farm became integral to their union, with Beth actively participating in its upkeep and planting trees. Following Dr. Temple's death in 2007, Beth continued caring for the property. Now, over fifty years after their first meeting, Tempest Farm is being protected for the future, with 40 acres donated and the rest under a conservation easement.
