The Punjab cabinet has approved a 300-tonne wet waste-to-gas plant for Mohali, to be operated by HPCL Renewable and Green Energy Limited. Located in Samgauli village, Dera Bassi, the facility will process segregated wet waste from nine urban local bodies and cattle dung daily. This project aims to provide a long-term solution to Mohali's waste disposal crisis, converting waste into compressed biogas and organic manure. The municipal corporation will be a key stakeholder, facilitating land and waste supply for the plant, which has been pending for over a decade.
इसे HPCL Renewable and Green Energy Limited चलाएगी।
