Actress Vidya Balan, making her Tamil debut in Jailer 2, shared her nervousness acting opposite Rajinikanth. During a promotional event, she recounted director Nelson Dilipkumar improvising a scene requiring her to smoke while delivering new dialogues. Balan described her hands shaking and voice trembling, even joking that the cigarette was shaking on its own. She prepared by smoking before filming to manage the scene. Jailer 2 is a sequel to the 2023 blockbuster, with Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan reprising their roles.
