Karnataka's government will make decisions on sugarcane growers' issues after a Central committee visits the state. Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stated this in Belagavi, emphasizing the complexity of the problems and the need for time to consult various stakeholders. He mentioned that past government incentives for sugarcane cost significant amounts and highlighted the state's current financial pressures due to drought. The Chief Minister plans to present Karnataka's case to the central team, seeking an increase in the Minimum Selling Price of sugar.

कर्नाटक सरकार गन्ने के किसानों के मुद्दों पर केंद्रीय समिति के राज्य दौरे के बाद निर्णय लेगी। मुख्यमंत्री डी. के. शिवकुमार ने बेलगावी में यह बात कही, उन्होंने समस्याओं की जटिलता और विभिन्न हितधारकों से परामर्श के लिए समय की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने उल्लेख किया कि गन्ने की लागत के लिए पिछली सरकारी प्रोत्साहन राशियों ने काफी रकम खर्च की और सूखे के कारण राज्य पर वर्तमान वित्तीय दबावों को उजागर किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने चीनी के न्यूनतम बिक्री मूल्य में वृद्धि की मांग करते हुए केंद्रीय टीम के समक्ष कर्नाटक का पक्ष रखने की योजना बनाई है।
