China Sentences Three to Death for Running Brutal Scam Centers

A Chinese court has sentenced three individuals to death for their roles in operating brutal scam centers in Myanmar's Kokang region. The criminal gang, identified as the 'Wei family criminal gang,' was also involved in drug trafficking, prostitution, illegal casinos, and the murder of at least two Chinese citizens. The court handed down sentences to Wei Huairen, Chen Dawei, and Liao Jingfang, with another three members receiving life sentences and 55 others getting prison terms.
