Cyclonic Storm Likely to Form Over Bay of Bengal

A low-pressure area over the South Andaman Sea has intensified into a well-marked low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal. The system is expected to develop into a depression within six hours and could become a cyclonic storm in the next 24 hours. It is forecast to move northwestwards and approach the Andhra Pradesh coast near the west-central Bay of Bengal by the evening of November 2, 2026. Coastal areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands may experience rain, with sea conditions becoming rough.

दक्षिण अंडमान सागर पर बना निम्न दबाव का क्षेत्र अब दक्षिण-पूर्व बंगाल की खाड़ी में एक अच्छी तरह से चिह्नित निम्न दबाव के क्षेत्र में बदल गया है। उम्मीद है कि यह सिस्टम अगले छह घंटों में एक डिप्रेशन में विकसित हो जाएगा और अगले 24 घंटों में चक्रवाती तूफान बन सकता है। इसका उत्तर-पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ने और 2 नवंबर, 2026 की शाम तक पश्चिम-मध्य बंगाल की खाड़ी के पास आंध्र प्रदेश के तट की ओर पहुंचने का अनुमान है। अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह के तटीय इलाकों में बारिश हो सकती है और समुद्र में ऊंची लहरें उठ सकती हैं।
