UPSC To Release Subject-Wise Marks After CIC Advisory

CIC has advised the UPSC to release subject-wise marks for candidates who clear the Civil Services Mains examination. This decision came after a petition by Aniket Kumar Gupta, who sought 10 years of data on marks obtained in different papers and interviews. Previously, UPSC released subject-wise marks until 2017 but stopped the practice in 2018 without clear justification. The CIC emphasized the need for transparency to maintain public trust, stating that releasing these marks will enhance accountability.

केंद्रीय सूचना आयोग (CIC) ने UPSC को सिविल सेवा मुख्य परीक्षा पास करने वाले उम्मीदवारों के विषय-वार अंक जारी करने की सलाह दी है। यह फैसला अनिकेत कुमार गुप्ता की याचिका के बाद आया है। UPSC 2017 तक विषय-वार अंक जारी करता था, लेकिन 2018 से यह बंद कर दिया गया था। CIC ने पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही बढ़ाने के लिए अंक जारी करने पर जोर दिया है।
