President Droupadi Murmu's scheduled two-day visit to Odisha from October 28 has been postponed due to a forecast of a cyclonic storm. The low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify and make landfall on October 28. Officials cited unfavorable weather and safety precautions for the postponement. The President was slated to visit Rairangpur and her home district of Mayurbhanj. The visit has been rescheduled for November 4-5.
