Former Australian opener David Warner has strongly criticised the national team's batting performance following their Test series defeat to South Africa. Chasing 288 in the final Test at Cape Town, Australia were bowled out for 111, losing the match and the series 2-1. Warner described the batting as "utterly disgraceful" and "un-Australian," stating the batters let the bowlers down. Former player Mark Waugh echoed these sentiments, calling the batting "immature" and lamenting poor shot selection and execution. The team's batting struggles have been a growing concern.
