Rajkot Police Reclaim Cycle Tracks on Busy Ring Road
Times of India · india
Rajkot city police have declared cycle tracks, service roads, and footpaths along the 11-km 150-Foot Ring Road a strict no-parking zone. This move aims to restore vital space for cyclists and pedestrians on one of the city's busiest traffic corridors. Unauthorized parking had previously consumed these areas, causing congestion and safety hazards for non-motorized transport users. Violators will now face action under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, to ensure the road's intended functionality and safety for all users.
