जम्मू और कश्मीर की राजनीतिक पार्टियों ने 1931 के विद्रोह के शहीदों को श्रद्धांजलि दी। यह घटना भारत के बँटवारे से भी पहले की है। नेशनल कॉन्फ्रेंस के नेता उमर अब्दुल्ला ने कहा कि यह लड़ाई ब्रिटिश राज के खिलाफ थी, न कि किसी धर्म के लिए। यह श्रद्धांजलि ऐसे समय में दी गई है जब क्षेत्र में कुछ पाबंदियों की बात कही जा रही है।
