PNC Infratech shares plummeted 20% to Rs 140 on Tuesday after the National Highways Authority of India extended the debarment of Awadh Expressway Pvt Ltd, a concessionaire, to the company for three years. This prevents PNC Infratech from participating in bids floated by MoRTH and NHAI. The company is evaluating legal remedies and stated the debarment will not impact ongoing projects or its status as a going concern. Financial implications will be disclosed later.
