Annie Raja Demands Police Probe Into Sexual Harassment Allegations Against CPM Leader

CPI national executive member Annie Raja has demanded that the CPM immediately hand over the sexual harassment complaint against former Palakkad district secretary EN Suresh Babu to the police. Raja stressed that while the CPM could conduct its own inquiry, allegations against a party functionary warrant a police investigation to ensure the complainant receives justice. The complaint reportedly involves improper behaviour and phone harassment over nearly a year.

सी పి आई की राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारी सदस्य एनी राजा ने मांग की है कि सीपीएम तुरंत पालक्काड जिला सचिव ई एन सुरेश बाबू के खिलाफ यौन उत्पीड़न की शिकायत पुलिस को सौंपे। राजा ने जोर देकर कहा कि सीपीएम अपनी जांच कर सकती है, लेकिन एक पार्टी पदाधिकारी के खिलाफ लगे आरोपों में शिकायतकर्ता को न्याय मिले, यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पुलिस जांच की आवश्यकता है। शिकायत में कथित तौर पर लगभग एक साल तक अनुचित व्यवहार और फोन पर उत्पीड़न शामिल है।
