Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Summoned By ED In CMRL Payoffs Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for questioning on October 23 in connection with the alleged Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL)-Exalogic payoffs. This marks the first time the central agency has summoned him in the case. The Kerala High Court had previously refused to halt the registration of FIRs against Vijayan, his daughter Veena, and son-in-law, PA Mohamed Riyas, related to alleged financial dealings. Exalogic Solutions, Veena's firm, reportedly received substantial monthly payments despite alleged non-provision of services.

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने कोचीन मिनरल्स एंड रूटाइल लिमिटेड (CMRL)-एक्सालॉजिक भुगतान मामले में पूर्व केरल मुख्यमंत्री पिनराई विजयन को 23 अक्टूबर को पूछताछ के लिए बुलाया है। यह पहली बार है जब केंद्रीय एजेंसी ने उन्हें इस मामले में तलब किया है। केरल उच्च न्यायालय ने पहले विजयन, उनकी बेटी वीणा और दामाद पीए मोहम्मद रियास के खिलाफ कथित वित्तीय लेनदेन से संबंधित FIR दर्ज करने पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया था। वीणा की फर्म, एक्सालॉजिक सॉल्यूशंस को कथित तौर पर सेवाएं न देने के बावजूद भारी मासिक भुगतान मिला।
